ABOUT THE KENNEL

1993 was the year that changed my life. Enter two Borzoi puppies, a dog and a bitch from the same litter. I fell hard for them and did both obedience and coursing. They both became ASFA Field Champions and both achieved their CD's in the Obedience Ring. I soon moved from Minnesota to Kentucky, and bought more acreage so that, of course, I could have more Borzoi. I now have 11 adults and have just whelped my first litter of 11 beautiful puppies.
The first Borzoi people I met in Kentucky were Kent and Katie Kaltenborn, who were gracious enough to invite me to stay in their home on my first visit to look for properties. I was very keen to see their dogs, and took them up on their kind and generous offer. To my great good fortune, Kent and Katie ran the Blue Grass Coursing Club, and were very interested in performance Borzoi, as was I.
Through Kent and Katie I met Mary Childs of Windnsatin Borzoi, a respected breeder who has become both a mentor and a close friend. Mary has made it possible for me to own some truly wonderful dogs...outstanding lure coursers, straight racers, and very successful in the breed ring as well.
